Halloween (Birthday) Contest!

Every now and again, I take it in to my head to give away something or other.  Since my birthday (which also happens to be Halloween is looming, I’ve decided to have a little contest.  Winners will win a free Skype or in-person reading with the chance to purchase a half-price reading for a friend.  You don’t have to purchase anything to win.  All you have to do is tell me your favorite Halloween memory from your childhood or the childhood of your children.  One name will be picked from the witch’s hat to receive the reading.  If you want to give the gift of a reading to someone else (perhaps for their birthday) you will have the option of purchasing a gift certificate for one at half-price.

So all you have to do is post your story here as a comment.  Check back on October 31 to see if you won.  You can schedule your reading as soon as possible after that.  That’s it.  So have at it, have fun and share a little holiday humor or pathos with us.

Hope to hear your story soon!

Well as a little girl I grew up in Long Branch, Nj. At that time the haunted mansion was still on the boardwalk. If anyone knows of the haunted mansion they know that it was a huge scary building that you could go into and there would be people waiting throughout the building to scare you. Well I remember one holloween me and my father went. I was sooooo scared but he promised to stay right by my side and said everything would be o-k with him there. So reluctantly I went through the dark front doors knowing that my daddy was going to protect me. We walk down the first hallway without incident and I thought, ok this might not be as bad as I thought but then my father preyed my hands off of his arm and went running forward without me.(See daddy loved to play his own little jokes) I remember being so terrified I started to cry. Did he come back for me, sure about 10 minutes later. Buy then I was all snot and buggers. With lots of hugs, sorrys and lots and lots of ice cream I finally forgave him.
